Judith Ralston originally trained as a musician and was a professional Opera singer at the outset of her professional working life. She is now one of the main weather presenters at BBC Scotland. She has a vast presenting career both on radio and television.
On television, Judith is a well known face at BBC Scotland, contributing to all their weather output.. She has guest presented for BBC Scotland Landward, contributed to the Andrew Marr show, BBC Scotland's winter weather special and Sportscene. BBC Alba's "Buskers" series. She contributes each year, in a humorous way, to the BBC's Children in Need, Sport relief and Comic relief.
On radio Judith Ralston regularly broadcasts the weather broadcast on BBC Scotland's morning and drive time programmes. She is a regular 'guest' presenter for the classical music programme Classic's Unwrapped, using her knowledge and background in classical music, also her skills as an interviewer. She has also appeared on several occasions as a guest on the Fred Macaulay Show, John Beattie, Call Kaye, Grace Notes and Off the Ball. Judith has presented packages for BBC radio 3 and 4. She presented her own classical music series.
She is in demand for hosting charity events, award ceremonies and comparing/presenting concerts. She compared the Royal Gala opening of the Beacon Arts Centre, interviewing HRH Prince Edward. Judith has a keen interest in voice production and general communication skills, stemming from her background as a musician and opera singer.
