Aileen McGlynn OBE has a passion for cycling and a drive to be the best and is one of Scotland's most successful Paralympians having won 3 Gold, 2 Silver and 1 Bronze medals at the last 3 Paralympic Games as well as 4 World Championship Golds.
In a career which has spanned 10 years, Aileen along with her previous tandem pilot Ellen Hunter, were the first women ever to win a Gold medal in Cycling for Great Britain in either the Olympics or the Paralympics.
In July 2006, Aileen received the MBE from the Queen for Services to Cycling for the Disabled and she was awarded an OBE in the 2009 New Year Honours List.
