Stuart Goldsmith is an up and coming comedian and actor who featured on Jason Manford's "Show Me The Funny" after which he was nominated for a Chortle Best Breakthrough Act.
Stuart is in demand as a club headliner and engaging compere and has performed solo shows at festivals internationally. He is also an experienced TV warm up and is the regular warm up for The Graham Norton Show.
Stuart has been performing as a stand-up and has worked in clubs across the length and breadth of the UK. A former street-performer (Scottish National Busking Champion and placed third in the World Busking Championships 2008), he did his first street-show aged sixteen, having learned to fire-breathe, fire juggle and walk on broken glass. He can also hammer a nail into his nose, eat glass and juggle chainsaws. Members of the public were likely to have seen him stripping to his underwear or walking a tightrope in the street in Edinburgh.
His writing credits include Radio 2's Out To Lunch and BBC7's Play & Record and Witty & Twisted. He is also one half of the highly successful Kiosk of Champions who received critical acclaim at Edinburgh Festival 2009. In 2010 he was back in Edinburgh this time with his debut show The Reasonable Man. It was later nominated - Best Show 2011 at the Leicester Comedy Festival.
TESTIMONIALS:"Stu did a brilliant job of entertaining guests at our Conference. He was consistently funny for the entire show; a superb choice of comedian."
Warren Alexander, CEO Charity Retail Association
"Stuart was brilliant. He responded very creatively to the children who spontaneously began to come up to the stage and tell jokes to the audience, and created a very relaxed event that everyone enjoyed. I would definitely like to invite him back next year and would be very happy to recommend him for any event for children and young people."
Nigel Shipley, Partnership Officer, South Gloucestershire Council
