Grant Stott is an experienced Radio and TV presenter, actor, columnist, event host and regular evil panto villain!
Grant was a police officer with Lothian and Border Police for four years serving in Jedburgh, Eyemouth and laterally Edinburgh City Centre but officer Grant Stott left in 1990 to start a career in the media and never looked back. His first radio job was with Edinburgh based Radio Forth and since then, Grant Stott became one of the best known and most consistent names on the Station.
After 27 years with Radio Forth, Grant announced in January 2017, he was taking a break from radio, so he could take his one man show "Tales From Behind The Mic" on the road. Later in the year Grant will be back on the airwaves when he takes up a new position with BBC Radio Scotland.
As well as Radio Forth, Grant Stott has hosted a number of BBC Radio Scotland programmes including The Fred MacAulay Show, Off The Ball, Daddy or Chips, Mummy or Chips and Soundcheck.
Throughout the 1990s Grant carved out a varied and very busy television career for both STV and BBC, initially on the children's show ''Wemyss Bay 902101'' (STV) and then in 1995 he made his network debut on the live Saturday morning show ''Fully Booked'' for BBC1 and BBC2 which ran for three years. Alongside these programmes he was consistently presenting output for BBC Scotland's Education Department with ''See You, See Me'' running for over ten years.
Grant is very much a mainstay of the Scottish panto scene, having taken to the stage every year, bar one, since 1993. Having debuted at the Kings in Glasgow, he has now been the regular villain at The King's in Edinburgh for 16 consecutive years.
Grant was also a regular co-host at the Radio Forth Awards, along with fellow presenter Arlene Stuart. The event is regularly held at Edinburgh's Usher Hall and features many of the top names in pop. Artists have included, The Wanted, former Spice Girl Mel C, Pixie Lott and Matt Cardle.
In 2011 Grant was not to know at the time but he ended up outshinning them all, when he burst into his own version of a classic Sinatra song, which he renamed "That's Fife". The recording which went up on Forth One's web site had over 70,000 hits on it within the first 10 days. You can watch it now by clicking the following link:

TESTIMONIALS
''a complete delight to work with. He was so professional and just lovely. At the rehearsals he was great at adding bits and changing bits to work and made it all work better. On the night itself, he was just great- totally engaged the audience and had really good banter- without being rude to anyone. He was great from start to finish''.
