Chris and Xand Van Tulleken the identical twin doctors first came to our notice when they featured in Channel 4's stunning series ''Medicine Men Go Wild''. In the programme Chris and Xand explored cultures and lived with native tribes around some of the most extreme parts of the globe. They hoped to learn about alternative medicines that could cure or prevent illnesses not seen in the West. Both Chis and Xand are specialists in tropical medicine.
These days the brothers are now regulars on our screens.
In 2016 Chris teamed up with veteren broadcaster and newsreader, Angela Rippon with a BBC series called "How To Stay Young". Chris at 37 was just over half Angela's age, as they travelled the world looking at various ways and experiments on how to stop the ageing process.
It was just over 10 years ago that Alexander or Xand as he prefers to be called, chose to specialise in tropical medicine, about two years before Chris did and went off to the Darfur region of the Sudan after working in Liverpool. Xand at that time was considered the TV novice as Chris has featured in a number of documentaries about Greenland and the North and South Poles.
