A genuinely all-round centre, England and Baths Jeremy Guscott made a big impact on his international debut in 1989 against Romania scoring three tries. A few weeks later he went with the Lions to Australia, appeared in the last test and scored a famous match winning try and since then he has never looked back.
A creative and intelligent player, and a noted stylist, Guscotts partnership with Will Carling has been one of the great successes of recent years and his tally of tries for England has been bettered only by Rory Underwood.
Guscott has been a key presence in three British Lions tours and he went on to win 3 Grand Slams with England. His finest moment came during the Lions tour in 1997, where his dramatic late drop goal clinched a historic series victory against the Springboks on South African soil.
Jeremy has recently embarked on a career in the media and presents the popular TV sports show Gladiators and is currently presenting the live BBC programme City Hospital. He was born in Bath on 7 July 1965 and was awarded an M.B.E. for his services to Rugby Union.
