''Can you please pass on our thanks to Fred MacAulay for the outstanding job on Saturday. He was polite and professional (not to mention hilarious!) and took the time to talk to our students, pose for lots of photographs and sign autographs. There was a real buzz to the graduation this was our centenary ceremony for North Ayrshire students and Fred's presence made the ceremony that bit more special for everyone. All the staff have been coming up to me this morning talking about the fantastic job that he done when I was out for Sunday lunch with my family yesterday I even heard people at the next table talking about how great he was! He'll have us all tuning into his Radio Scotland show now!''
