Sanjeev Kholi is Navid in BBC’s Still Game. He is a comedy writer, performer and presenter who has been in the BAFTA nominated Fresh Meat, Gary Tank Commander, and Look Around You.
Sanjeev has also written for Chewin’ the Fat and Goodness Gracious Me, and is the co-writer and co-star of Radio 4’s Fags Mags and Bags.
He played the part of Norrie in BBC Four’s Bob Servant Independent, alongside the legendary Brian Cox and Jonathon Watson. However, Sanjeev Kholi is still best known for playing the shopkeeper Navid Harrid in BBC’s Still Game alongside main characters Jane McCarry (Isa), Mark Cox (Tam) and Paul Riley (Winston). Not forgetting the two names the show is all about, Jack played by Ford Kiernan and Victor played by Greg Hemphill.
Since 2015 Sanjeev has appeared in BBC Scotland’s popular soap River City, playing the part of AJ Jandhu.
2018 saw him appear as a Glasgow Theatre owner in the feature film Stan and Ollie.
Sanjeev has also presented extensively on BBC Scotland and Radio Scotland. He is an occasional newspaper columnist. He also presented Sanjeev Kohli’s Big Talk on BBC Scotland.
