Alec Shuttleworth

 Alec Shuttleworth
Rev Alec Shuttleworth is the Church of Scotland Minister of the Ayrshire Parish of Tarbolton and Annbank, a parish in which Robert Burns lived and where he attended church. However, Rev Alec is a minister of the church with a very interesting background.

Before becoming a minister 7 years ago Alec was an award winning broadcaster (including a Gold Award at the International Radio Festival of New York) with Radio Forth in Edinburgh, with seasons on stage and in cabaret as a compere and singer.

His love affair with the works of Burns goes back to his days growing up in Dumfriesshire With his close connection to the history and works of Burns, it is no surprise that Alec has spoken, recited or sung at Burns Suppers all over the UK. He has even delivered the Immortal Memory at the legendary Bachelors club in Tarbolton, a debating society founded by Robert Burns, himself .

Alec Shuttleworth is married and when not working in his parish, or writing dramas and sketches which are used in churches all round the world, he provides chauffeur and cash machine services for his teenage son and daughter
