Ed Byrne

Ed Byrne has been doing observational stand up comedy since the late 90's. His earliest appearance on TV was in 1996 when he appeared in the popular sit com Father Ted.
He was nominated for a Perrier Award at the Edinburgh Fringe in 1998 but it was when he popped up on our screens in a series of adverts for The Carphone Warehouse that Ed Byrne became a household name. Ed still is one of the most popular choices for radio and TV commercial voice overs.
Coming on leaps and bounds since the early days, Ed is now considered to be one of the best stand up comedians in the business. His runs at the Festival Fringe sell out every year and he now makes regular appearances on Dara O Briain's Mock The Week and Have I Got News For You.
2009 saw Ed record his latest live dvd 'Different Class' which came out in November that year. A best seller but what made it slightly different from most of the other comedy dvd's available, was that Ed decided not to record it in London but in The Kings Theatre, Glasgow. A brave man indeed.
Ed Byrne is now a major international comedy star playing to packed houses all over the world, Paris, Rome, Singapore, Sydney, Melbourne, Canada Belgium and New Zealand to name a few.
