Jason Manford is a comedian, actor and television presenter, who began his career in 1999. He worked in a comedy club collecting the glasses when when the act booked for the evening didn't turn up. Jason, who was just seventeen at the time decided to get on the stage and stand in. This was the begining of his career in comedy.

Not long after, he was crowned The City Life North West Comedian of the Year. He then got a job doing the breakfast show on Manchester's Xfm radio which he held until 2008.

2007 saw Jason on television when he replaced Dave Spikey as the new team captain on 8 out of 10 Cats. He also did his own show which aired every Monday to Friday and was called 'Tonightly'.
