Alexander Armstrong
Alexander Armstrong is a very well known face on British television. Along with the numerous sitcoms he has appeared in, he is a regular and extremely popular presenter on BBC's Have I Got News For You. Alexander has also gained a bit of notoriety for his ongoing role as Harry Fitzgibbon-Sims in the series of advertisements for Pimms. His comedy partnership with Ben Miller in the 90's lasted for almost 10 years and led to the comedy sketch shows Armstrong and Miller and The Armstrong and Miller Show. The partnership was dissolved in 2000, to forge their separate careers. They did get back together in 2005 for a charity event and later in 2007 Alexander and Ben reunited and The Armstrong and Miller Show was back for a new series on BBC1 in the Summer of 2008.
Alexander has appeared in a number of TV shows including Mutual Friends, Don't Call Me Stupid, the hospital sitcom TLC and three series of Life Begins for ITV.
2008 also saw the rumour that Alexander Armstrong was to become the new host of Channel 4's Countdown when he would replace Des OConnor in January 2008. At one point Alexander was badgered about it by both Ian Hislop and Paul Merton on Have I Got News and it was later revealed that he had actually been screen tested for the position but eventually decided that it was not for him.
Alexander is a superb and very much in demand corporate dinner speaker. He is also avaliable for hosting and charity events.
