Gregor Fisher


 Gregor Fisher
Gregor Fisher is one of television's most recognisable actors. His television career has seen him appearing in 8 series of Rab C Nesbitt, Scotch & Wry, five series of BBC 2's Naked Video, as well as dramas such as Blood Red Roses and The Tales of Para Handy.

He is still fondly remembered as 'the baldy man' in the photo booth, having a bad hair day in the hugely successful TV advert for Hamlet cigars in the late 80's

He won great acclaim in the role of 'Perks' in Carlton's 2000 production of The Railway Children and played the lead in BBC sitcoms Brotherly Love and Snoddy. He then played 'Squeers' in Company Television's Nicholas Nickleby, 'James of the Glens' in Kidnapped for BBC TV and 'Mr Bumble' in BBC TVs six part adaptation of Oliver Twist for Christmas 2007.

Most recently he starred with Billy Boyd of Lord of the Rings fame, in the new sitcom Empty for BBC2.

His numerous theatre credits include As You Like It, The Cherry Orchard, Juno and the Paycock and The Homecoming. He appeared in Tom McGrath's play One, Two, Three at the Traverse, Edinburgh which went on to the ICA and the Toronto Festival. Most recently he has played 'Grandpa Potts' in the stage production of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang in Liverpool, Edinburgh and Bristol and Christmas 2007 saw him play the role of 'The Cowardly Lion' to great acclaim in the new stage production of The Wizard of Oz at the Mayflower Theatre Southampton.

His film credits include Another Time, Another Place, 1984, White Mischief, Richard Curtis's Love Actually, Merchant of Venice and most recently the long heralded remake of Lassie for Charles Sturridge.
