Fiona Armstrong


 Fiona Armstrong
Fiona Armstriong's work ranges from news, to features, to sport She currently presents the evening news programme for ITV Border but also makes films, the latest being a countryside series for ITV. She has also just finished co-presenting a local history series.

A former ITN newscaster and reporter, Fiona presented all the main news bulletins there. Major stories included reports on Aids orphans in Africa and the Lockerbie air disaster. Since leaving ITN she has worked for GMTV, BBC World News, Sky TV, Carlton Food Network and NBC. She has also worked for BBC Radio Two and Radio Four. Her programmes covered subjects from fishing to cooking, from health to antiques. For NBC, she travelled the world to interview famous business people. For her fishing films for Sky TV, she went to Alaska and Canada in search of the big one

She has written two cookbooks and two fishing books and also contributes to magazines and newspapers. Her speciality is Scotland she has made more than a dozen films and videos on Scottish clans and is currently working on a project on Robbie Burns.

Fiona has done a range of video and conference work and awards ceremonies. She lives in the Scottish borderlands and in her spare time she likes to fish and cook.

Fiona also chairs conferences and seminars and is a highly skilled conference facilitator and after dinner speaker. She has a wealth of experience hosting events and award ceremonies, both at home and abroad.
