Ronnie Corbett OBE

 Ronnie Corbett OBE
Ronnie Corbett is a comic legend who is probably best know for his part in the BBC's hugely successful show THE TWO RONNIES. The show ran for an astounding sixteen years and to this day enjoys repeat showings on BBC television.

Ronnie had his first major break with David Frost who invited him to join John Cleese and Ronnie Barker on the FROST REPORT in the 1960s. There, they performed the I know my place sketch in which John Cleese, Ronnie Corbett and Ronnie Barker stood in a line representing the British Class system. To this day it is still revered as a comedy classic along with his classic line from the Two Ronnies ''And its good night from him''.

In 1978 Ronnie Corbett and Ronnie Barker were both awarded OBE's.

Ronnie Corbett's best known role away from The Two Ronnies was playing the part of Librarian Timothy Lumsden in the sitcom Sorry which ran from 1981 to 1988.

2006 saw Ronnie Corbett playing an over the top version of himself in Ricky Gervais's Extras where he was caught taking drugs at the BAFTA Awards in the toilets with BBC Newsreader Moira Stuart.

In 2005 He appeared alongside Phil Kay (who is a huge fan of Ronnie's) in the spoof music video for Tony Chritie's ''Is This the Way to Amarillo?'', Most people will remember him for falling over in the video.

The popular BBC TV quiz show ''Have I Got News For You'' saw Ronnie Corbett sit in as one of the guest hosts in 2004

Ronnie Corbett is a superb after dinner speaker and entertainer, who has lost none of the charm which has made him a household name and a true professional. He's a bit of a golf fanatic and spends his time between his homes in London and Gullane near Edinburgh the town of his birth.
