Sandy Strang is a raconteur and impressionist - currently in demand throughout Britain as an immensely entertaining and experienced after-dinner speaker. He is a journalist, who has penned long running columns in The Herald, The Edinburgh Evening News, Scotland on Sunday and The Sun.

A one time top amateur footballer, Sandy wore the No.9 jersey for Cambridge University and actually had the honour of playing in a Varsity Cup Final against Oxford at the old Wembley Stadium. Sandy was also a talented cricketer who played in a record number of nine Scottish Cup Finals.

Sandy Strang has covered the whole range of speaking engagements from high profile corporate events and charity fund raisers through to golf days and sportsman's dinners.

Sandy is also one of Scotland's most sought after Burns speakers and has spoken at Burns Club dinners around the World, he is also a very experienced and highly accomplished host and mc, who is happy to accept a client's brief and adapt his speech accordingly.

Sandy has shared the top table billing with many of the top speakers on the after dinner circuit including Andy Cameron, Johnny Beattie, Kevin Connolly, Dave Gunson and a host of leading personalities from the world of sport - Alan Rough, John Beattie, Geoff Miller, Martin Bayfield, Gordon Smith, Sir Michael Bonallack, Sir Garry Sobers, Fergus Slattery, Andy Irvine and Roger Baird. He has also had numerous speaking engagements with many leading figures from public and political life - Lord David Steel of Aikwood, Lord Brodie, Sir Robert Smith, Lord Strathclyde and Lord McFarlane.

Sandy runs his own consultancy company, specialising in advising business and private clients on all aspects of presentation and communication skills.

Sandy is a former winner of the 'Wag of Wags', having won the 'Wag of the Year' competition two years previously, when it was held in Glasgow at the Marriot Hotel.
