Murdo MacLeod


 Murdo MacLeod
Murdo is well known for his hugely successfull professional football career were he played and starred for teams such as Glasgow Celtic FC and German Giants Borussia Dortmund. Murdo has also 20 Scottish International Caps and played his first international against the Auld Enemy (England) on the 20585 at Hampden Park, Glasgow where Scotland beat them!! 1-0 in the Rous Cup.

Murdo also played in the World Cup Finals and played against the Mighty Brazil and also against Sweden. He also played for Scotland in the European Championsip Qualifiers in 1989 and 1990.

Murdo also played a crucial role for Glasgow Giants Celtic in only his first season for them. After signing for Celtic from Dumbarton in 1979 for 120,000. On the 21st May 1979, Celtic played Rangers at Celtic park and a victory would win them the league. Murdo scored the 3rd Goal in that match which clinched the league fot the Celts and took the trophy to Parkhead after a memorable encounter.

Murdo know writes football articles for the Daily Record Newspaper as well as commentating and being football pundit on Scottish TV.
