Ruth Badger for many people was the Real winner of The Apprentice 2006. However, if you think you know Ruth Badger, think again.

According to the BBC's Apprentice website, Ruth doesnt pull any punches. Shes a 'high octane high achiever with a good deal of attitude and business credibility'

All true. But theres much more to Ruth Badger.

Ruth left school at 16 and took on numerous part time jobs including Football Steward at Wolverhampton Wanderers FC, local administrator for the Department Of Social Security and plenty of bar work. Before she joined The Apprentice Ruth enjoyed considerable success as a senior management executive. She is a pragmatic over-achiever who has no time for business school rhetoric. She sees her candour as an asset, 'I tell the truth. Unfortunately, with me, what you see is what you get.' As well her natural instinct for sales, 'I can sell anything. I love selling.'

During the Apprentice, Ruth was quoted as saying 'Every pound I have, I've worked for and I wasn't born with a silver spoon in my mouth. And there are people in the show who have never done a days work in their life and if they cross me they'll pay the price.'

Now that it's finished, Ruth has very fond memories of The Apprentice, which has left her with some life-long friends. However she is keen to say that what you saw on The Apprentice is 30 per cent of what she is capable of.

Ruth Badger now runs her own consultancy business and is very much in demand for business and motivational speaking engagements.
