Norman Lovett was well into his thirties before he decided to be a stand-up comedian. He played the original comedy Store many times and even supported the Clash.
Television and radio followed a few years later and of course the role that he is best known for ‘Holly’ the face and voice of the Red Dwarf’s computer in the hugely successfull BBC series ‘Red Dwarf’ which also launched the careers of Craig Charles, Chris Barrie, Robert Llewellyn and Danny John Jules.
Norman Lovett considers himself to be a stand-up comedian that can act a bit and has yet to appear in a Pantomime. He is always in demand for commercials and voice over work having worked for companies such as Sony – First Direct – Sugar Puffs – Blockbuster Video – BMWJames Bond – Grolsh – Nationwide – UCI Cinemas – Discovery Channel – and many more.
