Meg Stone

Meg Stone (Ritchie) competed at Olympic and Commonwealth Games level throughout the 80s and made over 34 competitive appearances for Great Britain in shotput and discus.
She took part in the Moscow and Los Angeles Olympic Games in 1980 and 1984 respectively. In 1982, she won the gold medal for discus at the Commonwealth games in Brisbane, Australia.
Meg moved to the United States where she became the first female fitness coach in American football, working for the University of Arizona Football Team. Since returning to Scotland with her American husband, Meg has become the National Fitness Coach for Athletics in Scotland.
