Helen Fospero


 Helen Fospero
Helen Fospero is the regular News presenter on GMTV. Previous to that, she had presented Five News and
Sky News. She launched the BBC's flagship regional
show Look North , and had also worked for GMTV in 2000 as their US correspondent based in New York.

During her 18 years in print and broadcast journalism,
she spent a few years specialising in entertainment.
Shes interviewed some of the worlds biggest actors
and musicians, including Elton John, Mel Gibson,
George Clooney, Cliff Richard, Dame Judy Dench, Cher
and Diana Ross. Her world exclusive with Paul
McCartney when Linda was diagnosed with cancer,
prompted GMTV to create a special role for her.

During her time in New York, Helen covered many major
news stories, including the 2000 BushGore election
and the execution of Timothy McVeigh. She witnessed
the World Trade Centre collapse from just ten blocks
away. She reported on the tragedy and the subsequent
war on terror for the next year.

Helen is an experienced host and storyteller. She is
adept at handling conferences and awards ceremonies.
She recently hosted an Elton John concert in front of
23,000 screaming fans!

Shes a patron of the Nicholls Spinal Injury
Foundation. Together with TV chef Gordon Ramsay, she
is helping to raise 5 million for stem cell and
spinal chord research. She is helping people like
young Daniel Nicholls who was paralysed on his gap
year in Australia. His father, David, is a famous
London chef and the charity is supported by many of
his celebrity culinary peers and colleagues.
