Alan Titchmarsh
Alan Titchmarsh is one of Britain's most well-known and best-loved gardeners, having fronted the BBC's hugely successful Ground Force along with Tommy Walsh and Charlie Dimmock and also BBC's Gardener's World. He has twice been named Gardening Writer of the Year and currently contributes to The Express and The Radio Times. How To Be A Gardener, the book which accompanied his latest BBC gardening seres, topped the UK bestsellers list. His current television projects include Royal Gardeners and The Natural History of Britain - both BBC as well as hosting some of this year's Proms (including the last night).
Alan is also a successful novelist credits include Mr MacGregor, The Last Lighthouse Keeper, Animal Instinct, Only Dad and more recently Rosie as well as his memoirs Trowel & Error. He was honoured with an MBE in the 1999 New Year's Honours List.
