Alan Carr is a Manchester-based stand up comedian. Not so long ago he was Heralded, one of Britain’s fastest rising comic talents. Now he leaves audiences breathless the length and breadth of the country not least with his Ch4 programme which ran for 16 series Chatty Man.
From the beginning of 2006 Alan Carr has been seen regularly on TV. This was soon after he took over as host of the Friday Night Project on Channel 4.
Alan is a winner of both the BBC New Comedy Award and also City Life’s Best Newcomer of the Year in 2001.
He started playing the Edinburgh Festival in 2005. Alan’s Edinburgh shows were one of the hit’s of the festival, playing to sell out crowds every night and also gaining a plethora of 5 star reviews across the board.
He was a regular at all the major comedy clubs in the UK. Alan even had his own monthly night at the Manchester Comedy Store, Alan Carr’s Ice Cream Sunday.
Rarely off the TV, Alan’s most recent work saw him host the Royal Variety Show in 2021 and he continues to present Interior Design Masters. 2022 and Alan’s back hosting RuPaul’s Drag Race.
