Christiaan McLeod is the only person to have raced twice to the Magnetic North Pole, leading Initial Style Explorers to victory in the first ever race to a pole in 2003 and a year later winning the Fujitsu Polar Challenge with Team Fujitsu.

He appeared on BBC 2's the Challenge, Race to the North Pole as the team leader - Discovery Channels recent Storms of War as a desert expert - and Trans World Sport training teams for the Polar Challenge (last week)

Chris spent 10 years as an officer in the Royal Marines specialising in operations in extreme environments - Jungle Arctic Desert. He was seconded to the Royal Hong Kong Police as the Head of Anti Smuggling for a year immediately prior to the hand over of HK to China - reporting directly to Chris Patten. He is the holder of The Royal Marines Sword of Honour and the Commando Medal as well as receiving a Commandant Generals Commendation for operation and training work in the Baltic States. One highlight of his career included organizing the training of a battalion of former Soviet Union soldiers as United Nations Peacekeepers.

Chris left the Royal Marines six years ago to run a successful training company as well as Venture Challenge Group which takes up most of his time at present. In between organising televised Expedition Challenges and training clients to race in the arctic.

Chris has spoken at a wide range of events from breakfast seminars at business schools through to large corporate conferences , like Fujitsu's Annual Management Conference where he spoke in front of 800 managers at the Excel Conference Centre London and the John Lewis annual conference were he spoke in front of 500 team leaders on stage at the Royal Theatre Dury Lane.
