Sandi Toksvig

Sandi Toksvig is one of the original members of the COMEDY STORE PLAYERS who perform their improvisational events regularly in their London venue, she also gained fame on Whose Line is It Anyway and Call My Bluff.
Sandi had six years schooling at Mamoroneck High School, New York and later attained a First Class honours degree in Archaeology and Anthropology at Girton College, Cambridge.
At Cambridge she was awarded the Theresa Montefiore Memorial Award for outstanding academic achievement.
She also appeared in a variety of Footlights shows including seasonal pantomimes and the l980 Footlights Revue of which she was co-author. She was the director, writer and performer of the first all female Cambridge Revue.
Theatre credits include a season with the Nottingham Playhouse appearing in THE BOYFRIEND, A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC, OLD KING COLE and COMEDY OF ERRORS. A season with the New Shakespeare Company at Regents Park and THE POCKET DREAM which she also co-wrote at the Albery Theatre, London.
Television credits include NO 73 (TVS), HAPPY FAMILIES, SATURDAY STARSHIP, GET FRESH, MOTORMOUTH, GILBERTS FRIDGE, GHOST TRAIN, BEHIND THE HEADLINES, THE BIG ONE with Mike McShane, HAVE I GOT NEWS FOR YOU, and ISLAND RACE with John McCarthy.
On radio she is a regular guest on LOOSE ENDS with Ned Sherrin, and following in the footsteps of Arthur Smith is the guest presenter on the series 'Excess Baggage.' Both on BBC Radio 4.
