David Farrell is the drivetime presenter on Heart Scotland. He is also BBC Scotland‘s Entertainment reporter and presenter, broadcasting regularly across TV and also Radio.
David has a wealth of live broadcast & event experience. Currently he is Entertainment reporter at BBC Scotland and presents the BBC’s dedicated entertainment news show The Edit. He also presents entertainment reports on BBC Scotland’s News TV programmes including Reporting Scotland & The Nine as well as hosting a variety of radio shows across BBC Radio Scotland.
Previously David Farrell co-presented STV’s Live At Five, which won an RTS Scotland Award for Best Daytime Programme. He also picked up a Sony Radio Award for his celebrity-based radio programme. These were on a number of stations including, Clyde 1, Forth 1, & Northsound.
Across his career, David Farrell has so far interviewed a host of stars including Calvin Harris to Rihanna. Also, Lewis Capaldi to Sir Rod Stewart.
More recently he interviewed Ewan McGregor (watch the video on the right). This was about Ewan’s latest portrayal of Obi-Wan Kenobi in the US Star Wars Mini Series, Obi-Wan Kenobi. It was released in 2022.

As well as broadcasting, David is also a distinguished voiceover artist. David specialises in lending his voice to a wide variety of projects. These include advertising campaigns, corporate productions and eLearning tools. David is a true professional with a real passion for work. He has had years of experience on the radio perfecting his skills.
